For over a decade, disciplined practice has defined a way of life for Salila Thuy. The complete embodiment of fusion, she now harmonizes polarities by bridging the gap between eastern and western traditions. Dedicated in the service of others, both the art and science of healing has become her passion. Salila began her journey of understanding her life experiences and adversities by answering the call of her soul. By pursuing the path of a Yogi.
From a young age, Salila had an international perspective on life. Her multicultural ambition motivated her to travel the world visiting over 25 countries to date. She began this journey of service abroad in India to support disabled women through the Mother Teresa and The Dying Destitute in New Delhi, India. Salila has also garnered diverse medical experience, including volunteering at Florence Fuller in Boca Raton, Florida and on the Post-Op floor of Boca Regional Hospital. She is a nursing graduate from Chamberlain University, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree and is currently working as a Traveling Registered Nurse. As for her Yoga training, She received her 200hr E-RYT training certificate at Yoga Journey with Leslie Glickman and an additional 100hr advanced vinyasa YTT with Philip Christodoulou Yogacarya at Anuttara Yoga Shala.
In her free time, she educates people on preventative health such as infrared light therapy, cryotherapy and living non-toxic lifestyles using Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade plant based medicine through the use of dōTERRA essential oils that are highly tested and safe to consume internally, aromatically and topically. Salila is also a eco-moon warrior who participates in events such as Bikini Beach Cleanups with her best friends to spread awareness of plastic pollution. She also hosts moon gatherings at Unknown in Delray Beach, Florida, a safe space for community.
Thuy taught me private yoga lessons at my home. The moment she walked into the door, you could feel her radiant energy. We immediately clicked and grew not just a teacher and student relationship but she became a really good friend. Her patience with helping me build a strong foundation in my practice gave me the confidence to attend my first yoga class in a studio.
I have been following Salila Thuy on social media for quite sometime and I finally got to meet her at The Yoga Expo where she was teaching a AromaYoga class! It was a profound experience which led me to also attend her Moon Circles in Delray at Unknown- she builds a comfortable space for community. I now utilize plant based oils to my daily routine and it has become a lifestyle.
It was a beautiful and enlightening surprise to find that she was my nurse the day I got out of surgery. She was incredibly informative, compassionate and caring. Her knowledge and intuitive care is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in a hospital or doctors office setting! She made my first night of recovering from a very intense spine surgery easy breezy, comfortable, relaxing and healing. I’m forever grateful for Thuy!
